It’s my favorite night of the year – Christmas Eve! Ben and I made our way all over town running errands today, all the while hunched over and wobbling like a cute old couple. We went to Body Pump for the first time in FIVE (ee!) months and whoa baby. It hurts. So bad. Ha ha.
We’re set to bring ingredients for a huge batch of wassail that will slow cook all day in the crockpot. The plan is to head to my side for breakfast and gifts in the morning, then over to Ben’s side for presents and lunch, then back over to my side for dinner and falling asleep on the couch (never fails). I absolutely cannot wait.
We both send wishes for a magical Christmas Eve to you all! We just finished watching “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and it may be my favorite Christmas cartoon from childhood.
“Welcome, Christmas, bring your cheer.
Cheer to all Whos far and near.
Christmas Day is in our grasp
So long as we have hands to clasp.
Christmas Day will always be
Just as long as we have we.
Welcome, Christmas, while we stand
Heart to heart,… and hand in hand.”
And to all, a good night!! (Ho Ho Ho)
