It’s Friday and time for the weekly weigh-in!
With last week’s expected one pound gain, I was hoping for a solid week to get back on track. Solid, as in 2+ pounds down. My best week ever was week 1 (6.8#) but that typically is mostly water. Week 3 I had 3.2# and haven’t been anywhere close to that since.
This week was shocking – I lost 4.2#! Couldn’t believe it. Must have been some resetting going on since I hadn’t lost much the last couple weeks. Huzzah!
Pounds lost: 4.2
Total pounds: 29.2
I’m feeling that 30# mark coming my way. Hopefully next week!
I finally switched pants into a smaller size. My old pair were looking pretty baggy. Interestingly enough, I’m still not seeing any inches lost in my arms – which stinks because that’s where I want the inches reduced for wedding dress stuff. Oh well; in time.
I’m thrilled that I’m “thisclose” to 75% of my wedding weight loss goal. Now, I knew going in that 40# wasn’t really where I want to be, but at the time I started I thought it wasn’t realistic to set a larger goal not knowing how I would even do getting to the 40 (or how long it would take). But since I’ve been committed to a plan and have stuck to it, I’m thinking I’ll just keep going without a specific goal in mind. I am not sure how long it will take me to hit the 40# mark – but assuming just a bit less than 2# a week and I’ll be there early October.
A friend posted this on Facebook and I had to save it. It seems so fitting for goal setting doesn’t it?
Here’s to a dream come true! 🙂
In the meantime, I’m continuing to think about foods I cannot eat and save off recipes and ideas for the day I can. Are these chocolate-filled raspberries not the most awesome appetizer you’ve ever seen? So elegant! I love them.
I also thought we should purchase some kind of decal for the fridge – something to scare me away so I’ll be less interested in peeking in to see what foods we have that I can’t eat.
Something like this:
Isn’t that ridiculously awesome!? Bwahahaha!
It’s almost SEPTEMBER folks! Summer is wrapping up at lightning speed. I love to take a moment during the changing seasons and think about goals I made. If you made a goal this year – what are you doing to keep on track? Stay the course, keep on it, because the result will make your heart soar and time flies… you’ll be there before you know it!
Dress shopping this afternoon – eeeeeek!
