Recipe: Crockpot BBQ Pork

Are you all having a fantastic weekend so far? We’ve been having a few flurries all day but nothing that’s amounted to much. It’s coming though, it’s coming.

We always have a white Christmas

Yesterday I tried a pork in the crockpot and promised the recipe if it turned out. It did!

The sauce was easy to make and could even be made the night before.

1 cup celery

1 cup onion

1 cup BBQ sauce (I used Annie’s)

1 cup ketchup

1/2 cup water

2T white vinegar

2T Worcestershire sauce

1T brown sugar

1T chili powder

3/4 t salt

1/4t pepper

2 cloves garlic

Chop the celery, onion, and garlic

Combine all ingredients

Add your pork tenderloin (mine was about 2.75 pounds)

I put this on Low for 10 hours (I am sure it was done way before then but that was just when I got back around to it)

Carefully spoon off any grease if you had a fatty piece of meat and then shred or slice the meat. Keep the juices if you’re going to shred though because the meat absorbs a lot of the juice.

I served ours over brown rice with veggies. These would also be great on sandwiches!

(Ben said this is also good with a tiny bit of hot sauce)

Now we’re off to Ben’s department Christmas party. Have a great evening!

  1. I really need to get myself a crockpot this looks delicious!

  2. Yum! I bet you will be feasting on that for a while 😀

  3. I don’t know, Ali. The news doesn’t seem so sure it is going to be a white Christmas. They are calling for a chance on like Tuesday and Friday – but they keep saying it’ll be the far southern parts of the viewing area.
Although, I do remember one year where a surprise snow storm came on Christmas Eve night, so maybe that will be what happens!
